The Illume Administrative Support Centre offers a wide-variety of training guides & options:

  • Guides/FAQs: Custom consortial FAQs, Admin/Set-up Guides, and Training Guides available in HTML or PDF format. 
  • E-learning: Quick demo videos are available for those that prefer to learn visually. Search for your topic or check-out the FAQs and Guides.
  • Webinars: We also offer live webinar training sessions. Contact us to schedule a live webinar (no download required).
  • Training Sites: Training software is available for new staff or students to practice with Illume. Just contact us!
  • In-person: We can visit you for training in the Lower Mainland BC. Just contact us!

Multi-Copy ILL Requesting Guide HTML How-to submit a single ILL request for multiple copies of the same title which uses the new ERTI algorithm to automatically generate separate lenders for each request.

Print-Disabled Patrons HTML Steps for libraries to share "talking book" formats that support print disabled patrons with visual or learning impairments or disabilities. Includes info on requesting DAISYs, MP3s, and Audiobook discs and cassettes. May 2019
Rebuild or "Refresh" Lender List HTML ILL Staff can now quickly & easily rebuild or "refresh" the current Lender List field generated by the automatic system ERTI Smart-build using the "Rebuild Lender List" button available on borrower requests not currently attached to any lender.

To update or add a Record to a request (eg. requests created from the Blank Request form) and Rebuild the lender list field staff should continue to use the ILL Review feature instead.		 New! December 2022
Requesting from ISO Libraries PDF
[490 KB]		 Training info for ILL Staff on ISO 10160/10161 standards, that allow different ILL software (eg. Relais) to "speak" to each other. Includes tips on requesting from UBC, SFU, UVic, KPU & TRU via ISO with Relais. RRU is also an ISO site via VDX. May 2019
